How to do it
Open RMM, then Tray Menu, and click New menu.
The page lists your Tray menu configs. A default menu is already there. Open it from the list to change it. Use New menu to add one for a company, tag or device. A scope can have only one menu.
Choose the Scope.
Pick Default (all devices), Company, Tag or Device. For the last three, choose the company, tag or device the menu is for. Save is blocked until you do.
Add items with Add item.
Give each item a Label, and pick its kind. The kinds are Run a script, Open an app, Open a link, Send an email, Submenu, Text label, Divider, Create a ticket, About this device and Exit. The default menu starts with an About this device item. A new menu for a company, tag or device starts empty. Edit or remove it like any other item. A Run a script item needs a script chosen. A menu needs at least one item before you can save it.
Check the Preview card.
It shows the menu for the scope you are editing. It reads Add menu items to see a preview when the menu is empty.
Make sure Enabled is on, then press Save.
A toast reads Tray menu saved. A change reaches a device on its next check-in. Allow one check-in cycle for edits to appear.

Submit a Ticket and Chat are built in. They need no setup, and no item you add makes them.
A device uses the most specific menu for it. The order is device, tag, company, then default.
If it did not work: How to build the tray menu your devices show
- An item does not show on a device: the tray menu only reaches devices that are approved. A pending device shows no menu at all.
- A device with chat turned off still shows Submit a Ticket, About and your items. The chat switch only controls the chat window.
- Save says this tray menu changed since you opened it: someone else saved first. Reload it and make your change again.
- Save says a menu already exists for this scope: edit that one.
- Submit a Ticket and Chat are not in your item list. Both are built in.
