How to do it

  1. Open Elise and ask about the ticket.

Looking up a ticket is a Read. It runs at once. Elise says what an answer covers. One for every client opens with Across all clients. One for a single client opens with For and the client's name. When a list has more rows than she shows, she says so, such as Showing 50 of 2,238 invoices. Tickets on a board set to Exclude from AI are left out, and she says so.

  2. Ask for a change and watch for a card.

Safe Writes run on their own. She can create, assign, tag, close and update a ticket, and add a note or file. She can also log time, start your timer and pause your work. She will not log time for a future date or in a closed period. Sensitive Writes show a card with Confirm and Cancel. Emailing a reply, closing many tickets or splitting one are Sensitive.

  3. Read a draft before you use it.

The Confirm card shows the draft itself. Confirm keeps that same draft. Nothing is sent or posted, whether you click Confirm or Cancel. You send or post it yourself. A closing summary works the same way and does not close the ticket.

  4. To make a ticket from a chat, click Escalate to a ticket.

It shows once the chat has at least two messages, and not in a chat about a ticket. Elise drafts a subject and a description. The ticket comes as a card. Nothing is created until you press Confirm.

  5. To undo a change, open Elise, then Action History. Find the action and click Rollback.

Most Safe Writes keep a snapshot from before the change. If the change was already pushed to an outside system, you see a warning. A rollback does not un-push it.

What you will have

  • Know which actions Elise runs on her own and which wait for you.
  • Read a draft reply first.
  • Turn a chat into a ticket.
  • Undo a change Elise made.

Why it works this way: How to work on a ticket with Elise in chat

Each action has a level. The level decides if it runs, waits for your click, or goes to a second person.

Elise says what each answer covers, so you know if it is one client or all of them.

If it did not work: How to work on a ticket with Elise in chat

  • Elise proposed an action and did not do it: it is a Sensitive Write. Click Confirm.
  • Merging tickets or deleting a reply never runs from chat. Elise files it in Review > Gated Actions. A second person lets it go.
  • No Confirm card on a draft: you lack edit access to tickets. Elise names the permission.
  • Elise will not change a ticket an outside system runs. She will not close or escalate it. She will not change its status, owner, priority, board or recipients.

Questions this page answers

Why did Elise propose an action instead of doing it?

It is a Sensitive Write. A card with Confirm and Cancel waits for you. Destructive actions go to Review > Gated Actions.

Does Elise send the reply she drafts?

No. Nothing is sent or posted. You review the draft, then send or post it yourself.

Can I undo what Elise did?

Often yes. Open Elise, then Action History, find the action and click Rollback. You can also use the View History link under the chat box. A change pushed to an outside system is not un-pushed.
